LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION for ENGLAND(LGBCE)

We informed you last year that the LGBCE were reviewing Ward Boundaries for local elections and their draft recommendations are available for comment @ LGBCE Middlesbrough.

With all the new housing in the area/parish, the boundary commission has been trying to ensure that all residents within Middlesbrough are equally represented and as such, they are suggesting amongst other things, that the WARD of Stainton and Thornton should lose some of its residents to the east of Stainton Way to Hemlington Ward and that the Stainton and Thornton Parish, that includes all of Hemlington Grange, combine with areas of Stainsby to form a TWO WARD COUNCILLOR WARD.

The next stage of the consultation runs from 14/01/2025-24/02/2025.
