The 260th meeting of the Parish Council will be held in the Memorial Hall, Stainton on Tuesday, 12 October 2021 at 7pm.


  1. Apologies and any Declarations of Interest

  2. Public Participation - Opportunity for members of the public to address the Council.

  3. To approve the Minutes of the 259th meeting held on Tuesday, 10 August 2021.

  4. Matters arising from the above Minutes including: -

    1. Neighbourhood Plan – update by Chair
    2. Roadside Speed Display Units – update by Cllr. Neale
    3. Parking issues, Hemlington Road – Cllr. Coupe
    4. Re-siting of bus stops – Cllr. Coupe
    5. Village Newsletter – Cllr. Cooper
    6. Footpath - 3 Strait Lane – Cllr. Dean
    7. Area Care – Cllr. Liddle
    8. Traffic monitoring – Stainton Way – Cllr. Neale

  5. The Report of the Clerk to the Council including correspondence, financial statement and authorisations.

  6. Committee Reports:

    1. Planning - Applications granted by MBC and any new applications. – Cllr. Liddle
    2. Environment
      • KGG pollution problem in Stainton Beck – Cllrs Liddle & Coupe
      • To receive reports of recent Environment Committee meetings
    3. Crime & Disorder - any recent incidents in Stainton and Thornton – Cllr. Neale

  7. Friends of Stainton and Thornton Green Spaces.

    1. To receive the report of the AGM held 9th August 2021
    2. Street furniture maintenance contract
    3. Donation towards running costs

  8. Cleveland Local Councils Association – report by Chair.

  9. Community Governance Review – report by Chair

  10. Date of next meeting. – Tuesday 14th December 2021. 7pm in the Memorial Hall.
